Fill out all the gaps, then press "Check" to check your answers. All sentences are in the negative Present Continuous.
Avoid contractions, because some of them are not accepted (For example, "he's" will not be converted to "he is").
You should probably accept answers with and without contractions. Both are correct.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Now the test accepts contractions.
This test marked as incorrect sentences with no contractions, e.g. "I am not running" and "He is not running". As the instructions were to avoid using contractions, I was surprised when it marked every answer as being wrong because I didn't use contractions. Also, the "correct" answers were inconsistent in the way they were contracted - "I'm not running", but "He isn't running" rather than "He's not running". Also, in English, it is more usual to put "Ann and I are not running" than "I and Ann" - I don't know what the rule is, but to a native speaker like me it just feels wrong.
Hope this helps.
Apologies - too many alsos!

"I am not running" works for me! Perhaps you left too many white spaces?

True. I have fixed it. Now the recommended version is "I am not running".

Heck, how could I have made such a mistake?
I was testing this site and failed the test because I put a period at the end of each sentence. If we are helping our students learn grammar, we should consider punctuation as part of what they need to know.
I did the very same thing and got a 0 score. I became suspicious. Then I went back and my suspicions were confirmed: Mark included the period in each test question.
This is a great site. Perhaps a little too advanced for my low-level elementary students, but excellent for intermediate students. I animations are very helpful.
