Auxiliary Verbs: To be

The auxiliary verb "to be" is an important verb has many uses in English, e.g. it helps form English tenses.

The conjugation of the verb is as follows:

they

Negative sentences are formed by adding not, and questions by using inversion.
The verb "to be" is also used to create continuous forms of all tenses, and the passive form.
