what am I seeing?

Is it the mistake?

They ______________ (shout) for a few !!!OUR!!! before their parents arrived.

I know it's so similar in pronunciation to the known that should be there. ;)

Thank your your help, but my phrases were shorter than the test requires, so it was the reason that one of five sentences has been classified as correct.
