Future Tenses

Futurity in English is expressed either by using words that imply future action ("I go to Berlin next week.") or by employing an auxiliary construction combined with the main verb which represents the true action of the sentence (Source: Wikipedia).

The most common auxiliary verbs used to express futurity are will, can, should, may, and must.

May and might

Of these, "will" is the most neutral and it is the most commonly used:

Simple Future

Future Continuous

Future Perfect

Future Perfect Continuous

Apart from that there are several other constructions that can express futurity:

Going to

This might be a little confusing for English learners but we can also use some of the present tenses to talk about the future:

Present Simple

Present Continuous
