Tests and Quizzes

This section contains exercises and tests prepared to check your knowledge of the verb tenses. There are two types of excercises — form and use.

Form is usually easier because all you have to know is the general rule of forming tenses (you will sometimes find that all answers are the same!). The other type is use. In such tests your task is to choose between two or more tenses (e.g. Present Simple vs. Present Continuous).

Before you take the quizzes, it is advisable that you practice the following exercise with a partner, one person asking the questions and the other answering the questions.  Every answer in this exercise is answered in a complete sentence using the verb phrase "feed my fish." The exercise is right here: 12 Tenses Review 1
